Spring 2026 Internship – Research & Strategic Support (Media, Analytics & Sales)
Position Summary
The Research & Strategic Support Intern provides research, organizational, and presentation support across the Media, Business Intelligence, and Sales teams. This role is designed for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who can support analytics and commercial efforts through research, documentation, and preparation, without requiring technical analytics or coding expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Market Intelligence
Conduct background research on leagues, conferences, schools, events, brands, and media partners
Compile competitive landscapes (who’s working with whom, recent deals, sponsorship trends)
Gather publicly available data (attendance, viewership reports, press releases, media coverage) for internal use
Support early-stage research for pitches, RFPs, and client conversations
Business Intelligence Team Support (Non-Technical)
Assist with data collection and organization (copying, organizing, validating inputs—not analysis or modeling)
Help document assumptions, methodologies, and notes for analytics deliverables
QA-check decks and spreadsheets for consistency, labeling, and clarity
Translate analyst outputs into clean summaries, tables, and slides
Sales & Business Development Support
Build research briefs ahead of sales calls (client background, goals, recent news)
Create prospect lists and maintain CRM-ready research notes
Support pitch preparation by pulling examples, visuals, and reference materials
Help track outreach efforts and follow-ups
Presentation & Deliverables Support
Assist with PowerPoint and Google Slides formatting
Source visuals, logos, and supporting context for decks
Ensure materials are polished, accurate, and client-ready
Qualifications
Strong research, organizational, and written communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Comfortable working with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office (Sheets/Excel, Slides/PowerPoint, Docs)
Ability to follow structured processes and work independently once tasks are defined
Interest in sports, media, analytics, or business strategy preferred
Preferred but Not Required
Prior internship or coursework related to sports business, marketing, or research
Experience supporting presentations or proposals
Familiarity with basic data concepts (without expectation of analysis or modeling)
What This Role is Not
No coding, statistical modeling, or advanced analytics responsibilities
No requirement to independently build valuation models or dashboards
Limited technical training required beyond standard business tools
