Spring 2026 Internship – Data & Analytics

ABOUT THE ANALYTICS VERTICAL

  • CSMG’s Data & Analytics division helps schools, conferences, events, and brands better understand the value of their athletic and esports assets. We analyze sponsorship and media performance, benchmark properties in the college marketplace, project future value, and support strategic decision-making across traditional sports and esports.

  • Our work includes sponsorship valuation, naming rights assessments, media and viewership analysis, predictive scheduling support, economic and community impact evaluations, and geotargeting insights for brands.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in evaluating sponsorship and media assets across college athletics and esports.

  • Support impression modeling, asset valuation, and marketplace benchmarking.

  • Contribute to research and analysis for naming rights, multimedia rights, and event opportunities.

  • Help maintain internal analytics databases and gather relevant market and performance data.

  • Participate in viewership and attendance analysis for scheduling and event planning projects.

  • Support geotargeting, market insight, and community impact projects.

  • Assist in developing presentations, dashboards, and client-ready reports for schools, conferences, and brands.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sponsorship, Media, Esports) on active projects and proposals.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong attention to detail, curiosity, and willingness to learn.

  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data tools (Python, R, Google tools, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) is a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects.

  • Eligible for course credit (recommended)
