CSMG UNVEILS LEADERSHIP REORGANIZATION TO ACCELERATE GROWTH, INNOVATION, AND PARTNER IMPACT
Tom Beusse, Ray Katz, Angela Bernhard Thomas, Mike Blewitt, and Carmine Tiso appointed to new and expanded roles positioning the organization for transformative growth
STAMFORD, Conn. — February 11, 2026 — Collegiate Sports Management Group (CSMG), an integrated sports, entertainment, and media company focused on esports and traditional sports, today announced a reorganization of its leadership team, to accelerate growth across its business units, foster transformation, and deliver increased value to partners across traditional sports and scholastic gaming businesses.
As part of the reorganization, CSMG has made a series of strategic leadership appointments and role expansions designed to advance innovation, scale operations, and deepen partner impact across its portfolio. Tom Beusse has joined CSMG as Operating Advisor, Ray Katz has been elevated to President, Media and Business Intelligence, Angela Bernhard Thomas has expanded her role as Chief Gaming Officer to include Global Strategy, Mike Blewitt has been promoted to Chief Partnerships Officer, and Carmine Tiso has been appointed to lead communications for CSMG.
“This leadership reorganization underscores our commitment to building an adaptable, innovative organization that delivers best-in-class solutions for our partners,” said Michael Schreck, CEO of CSMG. “As technological advances continue to reshape the business of sports at an incredible pace, CSMG is exceptionally well positioned for a transformative period of growth both in the near term and long term.”
As Operating Advisor, Beusse brings extensive experience scaling and operating companies across the sports landscape. Beusse has a proven ability to identify growth opportunities, optimize organizational performance, and drive execution at scale. In this role, he will lead operational strategy, support enterprise-wide innovation, and work closely with the CSMG executive leadership team as the company enters its next phase of expansion. Beusse is a veteran media executive with over three decades of experience, including senior leadership roles with Golf.com and Golf Magazine, USA TODAY Sports Media Group, Westwood One, Time4 Media, and Rodale, Inc., among others.
Katz will now oversee CSMG’s media, data, and business intelligence verticals. He will also spearhead the continued development and deployment of OptiMatch, CSMG’s AI-powered scheduling platform, as well as the evaluation and sales for the recently approved sponsored jersey patch opportunities across collegiate athletics. As demand for data-driven decision-making accelerates and the sports media landscape continues to evolve, Katz’s leadership will be instrumental in delivering advanced analytics, technology solutions, and measurable value to CSMG’s current and prospective partners.
By adding Global Strategy to her remit, Bernhard Thomas will further strengthen CSMG’s international footprint. In this expanded role, Thomas will oversee CECC Monsoon Madness in India, lead global growth initiatives, and manage strategic partnerships across multiple countries within the scholastic gaming ecosystem. These responsibilities build upon her leadership of CECC Madness and CSMG’s entire esports division. A recognized force in scholastic gaming, Thomas is uniquely positioned to drive CSMG’s continued global expansion and category leadership.
As Chief Partnerships Officer, Blewitt will oversee all business development, client services, and brand partnerships across CSMG. In this newly created role, Blewitt will continue to work closely with existing partners while leading the company’s sponsorship and commercial strategy. CSMG’s sponsorship sales organization will now report directly to him, reinforcing a unified, partner-first approach as the company scales and deepens long-term, high-impact relationships.
To support this continued expansion, CSMG has strengthened its sales organization with the addition of several new team members. This investment reflects growing partner demand and positions the company to accelerate new initiatives and deepen relationships across its portfolio.
Senior communications professional Carmine Tiso will lead communications across all channels, including earned media, digital and social media, and corporate communications. Tiso brings more than 20 years of professional experience, including senior communications roles with MLB, the NBA, Madison Square Garden, and global sports marketing agency Sportfive, as well as most recently leading his own communications consultancy, Tiso Communications.
Jim Connelly, previously CSMG’s Chief Revenue Officer, has been named Advisor to the CEO and will remain closely involved with the organization. CSMG recognizes Connelly for his contributions over the past four years, during which he played a pivotal role in establishing and growing the CECC May Madness intellectual property.
